Dr Annette Roberts - Associate Member of BRASS
Career Experience and Qualifications
Dr Annette Roberts is Deputy Director of Welsh Economy Research Unit & Lecturer in Economics at Cardiff Business School, and an associate member of the BRASS Centre. Annette became a member of staff at Cardiff University in 1994, and completed her PhD on ‘The Economic Impact of Foreign Direct Investment in Wales’ in 1996. Her main research interests are in regional economics and policy, including regional economic modelling, and the economics of the multinational. She has undertaken research work for a range of organisations including the European Union, Forestry Commission, WDA, Arts Council, the Countryside Council for Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government. Annette is also Editor of the Welsh Economic Review.

Modelling economy-environment interactions; Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare; Sustainability indicators; Regional economic policy.
Research Projects
Annette is currently working on projects to develop an Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare (ISEW) for Wales, and to develop an environment module within Input-Output tables for Wales.

Teaching Commitments
Annette teaches on the Business Economics undergraduate degree scheme, and the MBA programme at Cardiff Business School. She contributes lectures on Managerial Economics, and Modern Business Enterprise courses.
