The Welsh Assembly Government is responsible for most of the issues of day-to-day concern to the people of Wales, including the economy, health, education, and local government.

The role of the Welsh Assembly Government is to exercise functions devolved to it in order to: make decisions on matters which affect people’s daily lives; develop and implement policy; make subordinate legislation (e.g. regulations and statutory guidance) and propose assembly measures (Welsh laws). 

Constructing Excellence in Wales (CEW) http://www.cewales.org.uk/

 CEW is the umbrella body for the construction industry in Wales, which makes CEW the business organization for anyone involved with the Welsh built environment. 

Funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, CEW’s remit is to improve the construction process in Wales and ensure that the principles of rethinking construction is outlined in the Egan report 1998 'rethinking construction' and Latham report 1994 'constructing the team' become mainstream industry practice.

CEW has been commissioned and endorsed by Welsh Assembly Government as the lead organisation for the construction, demolition and excavation programme in Wales.
