Background
Northern Ireland has recently had to redress an imbalance in its regulatory development. This has in the past been hampered by the political situation, but developments in the last few years, and increasing pressure from the Europe Union with regard to regulatory completion has meant that the Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland has required assistance with a range of environmental regulations. BRASS has been involved in developing some of the documents required as part of the regulatory process, and this has involved close liaison with the Northern Ireland Department of the Environment (including the Environmental Policy Division and the Environment & Heritage Service)
