Ecological Footprinting:
Knowledge and Practice in the Ecological Footprint Community
Lead Researchers: Dr Andrea Collins and Dr Andrew Flynn
The Ecological Footprint is now commonplace as a tool for communicating resource use to a range of diverse audiences. Advances in methodology and moves to standardise the Ecological Footprint methodology have further established its credibility. One of the most notable features of Ecological Footprint work its that it has advocates across the globe, and who are highly networked, so that they can share common experiences and best practice.
The BRASS Centre has been engaging in research to find out more about the goals and norms of the Footprint community and likely future developments in methods, indicators and markets. In order to help us gather this data we developed an online questionnaire. Participants completed the survey during June 2008 and a report on the findings will be made available on the BRASS website in 2009.
