Aims and Objectives
The Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) is a method of separating out tourism activity from a set of national accounts, enabling the estimation of key factors such as value added and the ‘tourism dependence’ of specific industries or products. This project adds an environmental dimension to tourism satellite accounts. This can assist an understanding of the environmental effects of tourism activity, and in particular, the externalities created by different types of tourism.
Construction of tourism environmental satellite accounts (TESA) to sit alongside developed tourism satellite accounts at national and regional level.
